Description: Here is a (rare) Wells Fargo & Co. Express wax seal stamp dating back to the mid 1800s. They were used to seal the Wells Fargo & Co. Express security envelopes that were transported on the stagecoaches and later by rail shipments. The wax seal was on each end of the back of the envelopes. Each station had their own wax stamps. In good condition, showing wear and normal use. Wells Fargo & Co, Express, Richland, Iowa.
