Description: WESTERN ELECTRIC Type D-173338 COMPRESSION DRIVER & WESTERN ELECTRIC Type 43219 U.S. Army HORN LOUDSPEAKER As shown in the photos this U.S. Army horn loudspeaker enclosure is missing a horn and one driver. The compression driver is stamped D-173338. It is outwardly identical to the Western Electric D-183406/1720A. I researched this driver online but did not find any information. If anyone knows more about it please share. Out of curiosity I disassembled the driver as you can see in the photos. The driver was tested after reassembly, it plays loud and clear with no distortion please click on the video.
