Description: When looking at this stock set, you will have a hard time believing it is not actually wood. It is actually a PETG plastic old style stock set for the Winchester Model 1897 shotgun.This set consists of an old style stock and forend, which is the same style of furniture commonly found on the C version Winchester 1897. This stock will fit any Winchester 1897 shotgun, including newer guns and reproduction guns. The stock comes with a black TPU buttpad and two screws to attach the buttpad. The forend is the old style forend that mounts to the action slide with 3 screws. This forend is much thicker and more durable than the originals. This forend comes with 3 10-32 1/4 inch mounting screws and TPU escutcheons.The TPU escutcheons are meant to fit tightly inside the holes and absorb shock. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Press escutcheon with screw inside into the hole. 2. Press down with a screwdriver to start screw into thread. 3. Tighten the screw down as much as you can without scraping against the magazine tube. Due to the flexibility of the escutcheons, the screws can be overtightened and scrape against the magazine tube. 4. If the screw is scraping against the magazine tube, back the screw out until the action bar can move without interference.
