This is a midweight fabric purse. It is dual handled and the handles go into the interior and are knotted. You can tuck both of them to the inside for no handles and turn this into a clutch! You can also tuck one side in and make it have a single shoulder strap! So the strap is convertible. The fabric is difficult to describe because it is thicker and tubular in nature and is braided together. The interior is unlined. There is top zippered closure with a silver tone metal zipper. The edges of the purse are knotted with almost like a chiffon style end (maybe what is inside the tubular fabric?) Its roomy interior holds a lot and is flexible because of its soft sides and bottom. In other words, it holds a lot! It is completely foldable and it is washable by hand in cold water. Air dry. This was my aunt’s purse from the 1950s. It has no brand tag or label of any kind. I can picture it at Easter, going out to dinner, attending a summer wedding, using it during the warmer seasons for parties… It’s very versatile, unique, and will garner lots of attention in its very simplicity.
