WONDERFUL Native American Sterling Silver Turquoise Feather & Artisan Necklace

Description: WONDERFUL vintage Native American, Navajo signed sterling silver, large feather pendant with southwestern artisan crafted three strand turquoise necklace. This necklace is stunning! It is 18 3/4” long and weighs approximately 95 grams. The Native American feather pendant is sterling silver and is set with a lovely, genuine turquoise cabochon. It is 4 1/4” long by 13/16” wide and weighs 20.7 grams alone, without the necklace. This beautifully crafted feather has the most exquisite dimensional detail with a raised shaft that is textured and with natural looking inner and outer vanes. The turquoise gemstone is set up in a finely crafted, textured bezel and this feather is finished with a very large bail that is, in fact, a separate, curved feather with similar detail. This pendant is signed by the artisan, “L J” and “MGI”, I believe, in smaller letters and it is stamped “Sterling”. This feather pendant is vintage and hangs on a newly crafted three strand necklace that was made specifically for this wonderful pendant. The necklace features three separate strands of various turquoise in rondelle and nuggets, along with red spiny oyster, tiny Native American textured bench beads and pyramid shaped sterling silver beads. It is finished with two southwestern sterling silver repoussé cones and a fabulous Kelly Charveaux one of a kind sterling silver turquoise, spiny oyster, Mediterranean coral and gaspeite inlay toggle clasp. The feather pendant will slide off of the necklace, allowing the necklace to be worn on its own, or with a different pendant. The feather, of course, can be worn with a chain or on another strand of beads. The bail has an opening of 3/4” in length and 9/16” in width, so will slide over a variety of beads, I am sure. The pendant is in VERY good vintage condition with no damage other than, perhaps, very minor surface wear and/or oxidation. The necklace is in new condition. The turquoise beads are all vintage material, but were used here for the first time, so are in very good, virtually new, condition. The clasp is stamped “KC”, “Sterling” for Kelly Charveaux. All of the silver in this necklace, including the clasp, pendant and beads, has been professionally tested as solid sterling silver. The gemstone beads, gemstone inlay and turquoise cabochon have been verified by a certified gemologist. This necklace is much more impressive in reality than it appears in my photos.
