A sweet hand-painted cat teapot is in excellent vintage condition. Approximately 7-1/2" from the handle to the tip of the spout, 6-1/2” high, 4-1/2” wide. This teapot was purchased in Encinitas, California, in 1994. It holds about 2 cups. This teapot has never been used and has only been on display in a china cabinet. It is clean and free of any issues - no crazing, chips, or cracks. The bottom is marked with Hand Painted Takahashi San Francisco with their logo, plus a perfect gold label. Takahashi Trading Corp was established after WWII by Henri and Tomoye Takahashi in a small store in Japantown, San Francisco. Selling a variety of high-quality items, Takahashi's business evolved into a highly respected brand of Japanese wares, with offices in San Francisco, Sausalito, and New York.
