Second book (about 150 pages), Lessons 9 – 16: Forming processes, hydraulic press and more. Third book, Lessons 17 – 24 (about 200 pages): Sub assembly practice, spotwelding, drop hammer practice (ouch!), foundry and forging practice, torch welding and more. Forth book (about 200-250 pages), Lessons 25 – 32: machine shop tools and principles, punch press, toggle press, tool and die construction and more. Fifth book (300-350 pages), Lessons 33 – 40 (parts I & II): Wing assembly, assembly jigs, protective coatings and finishes, electrical radio equipment installation, power plant and piping and more. Obviously, the lessons here related directly to American aircraft construction before and during our entry into the war.
