Description: My parents were married in 1944 and stocked their Christmas tree with the cheaply-made wartime ornaments that were all that was available at that time, and they displayed them for decades to come. These plastic-beaded strings of papier mache bells are examples Attached is a family photo from 1953, in which you can see two of these ornaments circled in blue on display.
