It has a 1" opening and stands out 2" from the wall/post.Each hook has 2 screw holes for extra stability. This listing is for one wreath hook and black mounting screws. If they ever need a touch up, simply use a satin black spray paint. Use your imagination and paint them different colors, too. I personally use a rust proof spray paint. Note that our wrought iron is Amish forged therefore you will have a little variation in each piece. We order these and pick them up unwrapped and they do not have tags on them, but they are brand new! Products may have weld spatter, scratches, tool marks, dried paint runs/drips and paint sheen variation between batches. Due to the hand crafted nature of these products, size and length may vary and some pieces may be crooked.The wrought iron items are steel that is "hand worked" and painted black.
