Description: A very good looking World War One Sepia Studio Portrait of an Young British Fusilier Other Rank set within a stunning Brass Trench-Art Picture Frame. A very substantially-made frame measuring approx 7" high x 8.5" across the base, the back has a welded pocket to take the sepia postcard image of the soldier, who appears to be from the West Country judging by the Exeter credit on the back of the photo: H Hall & Co 173 Sidwell Street Exeter In the portrait he is wearing a bandolier and The Imperial Service Badge over his left breast pocket indicating that he volunteered for overseas at war's outbreak in 1914. A professionally fashioned trench-art photo frame, (minus its original glass, though may not have had any to start with), featuring a silvered horse shoe as the central insert and two Fusilier's collar badges affixed either side of the frame. A fabulous piece of WW1 photographic & Trench Art history.. Thanks for looking..!
