Description: Very nice Verdun map, coming from a French officer. It measures 75 cm X 105 cm. It shows Verdun area (Douaumont, Hill 378, Hill 347, Beaumont). The trenches are in red (french) and blue (gerrman). There are a lot of details materialized : trenches names, shelters, Minenwerfer, telephone exchange. No tape. Before the Meuse Argonne offensive, a lot of French maps have been given to American officers. Marked : Secret. Dated 1918. Very hard to find.
