Description: You are bidding on a SUPERB example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe 5th Model Junghans Clock, Fl. 23885! This type was used in other aircraft such as the Me109, Fw190, Me110, Me262, and many others! Mounted on the main instrument panel, this clock needs no introduction. It was made famous throughout the war as the standard German Aircraft Cockpit Clock. It was usually mounted on the front or side cockpit consoles and features a chronometer, adjustable bezel, and a 15-minute timer. Made of aluminum with a bakelite bezel, this Junghans clock is in EXCELLENT used condition! It is painted black, which is usually a feature of clocks installed in Night Fighters, however, I am not sure if the paint is period, or something that was applied post-war. Nonetheless, it retains 95% paint and finish, and features the later movement with the screw-on back). The dial still glows at night (must be charged with UV light), and it is 100% FUNCTIONAL! Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, panel rebuild, or restoration project! Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
