Description: WW2 RAF H TYPE OXYGEN MASK & B/C TYPE FLYING HELMET HEADPHONES & HISTORY Originally owned by a Pilot of Halifax bomber and Squadron Leader C G S R Robinson who crash landed in 1943 and was a prisoner of war in Stalag Luft 1, Barth, Vogelsang.This is a superb and genuine WW2 Royal Air Force flying helmet including a H Type Oxygen Mask This fabulous lot also includes a set of Gosport receivers along with all the wiring for headphones and microphoneThis mask is in very good condition for age with only minor perishing. It includes all fitting straps.The helmet is the wired version of the B Type, or a scarce early pattern 'zip-eared' type C flying helmet ( I believe, but if not please let me know). It is in very good condition with supple and totally wearable leather. The rubber earpieces still retain their shape. (note one of the rubber covers for the Gosport tube is perished)The helmet does have some areas of age related wear with all goggle straps intact and working.The helmet also includes an internal wiring loom, that came with the helmet and that are correct for this helmet.The helmet comes with the original cloth bag bearing the original owners name, Squadron Leader Robinson, who crash landed and was taken Prisoner of War, all of which I will include in the sale.Lastly, there's the original OHMS label from stores.
