The cover is a glossy reproduction of a Marc Chagall original lithograph. The book measures 12 inches tall and 10 inches wide. It is about 140 pages in length including gallery and exhibit advertisements from 1961. All the content is devoted to artists, art, sculpture and photography. Articles include subjects like the works of Kandinsky, Klee, the old masters, Miro, etc. There are wonderful color photos throughout the entire book. Part of the popularity of the XXe Siecle series for collectors is that they always contained an original lithograph on stiff paper by a prominent artist. This issue has an original color lithograph (photos 6 & 7) by Serge Poliakoff. This original lithograph often sells for much more than the buy it now price for this entire volume.
