Description: Up for auction is a gently used professional Yamaha "Custom" Duet YOB-841LT full conservatory wood oboe with a third octave key and an ebonite lined upper joint. All keys move freely and the pads/corks are in excellent condition. The oboe has been shop adjusted/regulated and is ready to be played. This oboe has minor scratches throughout from normal use and the lightly tarnished silver plated keys have minimal wear. There are no cracks present or repaired. The serial number is in the upper 0103xx range. This oboe has a left hand F key, an alternate C key, a split ring key, many trill keys and metal tenon ends. Included is a gently used Yamaha Custom wood shell oboe case with minor case wear on several edges and a Yamaha deluxe zippered case cover with several storage compartments. Yamaha oboes achieve a clear sound quality and superb intonation by dramatically improving the precision and stability of the bore. Also to cope with various durability issues inherent in wooden wind instruments, Duet+ models employ innovative techniques to form a protective layer next to the air column.
