Be sure to add me to your favorites list!This listing is for a Yamaha YTS-62 tenor saxophone. This is a professional model horn. Although Yamaha has since come out with some ultra-premium models, at the time this one was produced, it was their top of the line. The 62 has always been a favorite among pros because they are very well made, and extremely consistent from horn to horn. This is an early 62, with the 'purple logo'. This version in particular has really developed a cult following in recent years, with many claiming that it is superior to newer variations. This sax is in excellent condition. The body is straight, and the neck has not been pulled down. There are a couple tiny nicks on the bow, but no significant dents, dings, or pings. There are no signs of past dent work. The bow guard curvature is perfect. The rim of the bell has never been bent. The keywork is all operating smoothly, and all of the rollers are turning easily. The lacquer is almost fully intact, with relatively minor scratching/scuffing. The pads are fitted with seamless domed metal resonators. They are not new, but they have a good amount of life left in them and are sealing well. Of course, you may wish to get it adjusted to your liking by your tech, but most players will find it quite suitable as is. This horn plays easily from top to bottom in its current state. This horn comes in a replacement Protec International case, also in very good condition. There is minimal wear and tear to the interior fabric, and it is clean and odor free. The exterior is also in great shape. It comes with a shoulder strap and has large exterior pockets for carrying lots of accessories.
