Description: The newsletter is in good-to-fair condition and has been kept in a smoke-free, climate-controlled environment for the past 20+years. It has been repaired along the outer edge and folds with LINECO® document repair tape [acid free, lignin-free tissue, non-yellowing, permanent acrylic adhesive, pH neutral]. It has been used for decades by archivists, curators, collectors, and historians to help preserve and protect the further devolution of printed matter caused by the aging process. [NOTE: We are mentioning LINECO® repair tape for your knowledge and information. We are not affiliated in any manner with the company, merely a recommendation and to inform you that it is available from several suppliers on eBay.] These newsletters were usually printed on inexpensive paper that wasn't designed to last! It's called "ephemera," which is derived from the Greek word ephemeras, meaning "lasting only one day, short-lived. " These “collectibles” weren't supposed to last this long! Which is why we like them and collect them! And try to keep them around! Will mail USPS FIRST CLASS 2-Day Priority. Newsletter will be WELL PROTECTED from damage due to water and/or mishandling. We use heavy corrugated and/or card stock on each side. It will be enclosed in acid-free vinyl page protector that is sealed against liquids, unless penetrated in handling. An acid-free backer board is also inside the protector prior to sealing. The odds of the postal service jamming the package into your mailbox are slim. Both sides of the envelope will be labeled "PHOTOS. DO NOT BEND". We pack as we would like to receive an item. USPS tracking is included. 24 years' experience packing and shipping / retired retail shipping operations manager. You'll be pleased when it arrives! WE KNOW HOW TO SHIP!!!!! UPON ARRIVAL PLEASE NOTE the following: The 100% acid-free protective bag inside the envelope is a 2mil archival-safe poly-propylene bag with a resealable flap closure. USE CAUTION when opening the flap and removing the newsletter. Should it touch the adhesive strip, it will cause permanent damage. The newsletter is 72-years-old and will not be easily replaceable. Thanks, and enjoy!!!
